JR Moving Services, GBF Community Services, & Habitat For Humanity in Grimsby offers a free purging service
We understand that traveling lightly gives you one less headache when moving your home. We take one thing off your moving checklist by offering a free of charge purging service for select household items. We offer convenience by providing a free pick up before or on your moving day. Every month of the year, we deliver these goods from our customers to GBF Community Services, and Habitat For Humanity in Grimsby. If you decide to purge these items yourself, just remember that many homeless shelters, and local nonprofits accept donations of household items.
Environmental Benefits
We also recognize that the alarming amount of household item waste in our environment has resulted in major environmental impacts that are hard to ignore. From the production of new items, to energy and mineral resources extraction and finally landfilling, this cycle creates a host of problems for the Earth’s ecosystem. It takes a huge amount of energy for manufacturing materials like cloth and plastic which consequently release greenhouse gases that lead to climate change. We deplete minerals from the ground and use them for creating an array of consumer items which then create pressure on the natural biodiversity when disposed improperly.
Donating when you move is an easy way to spread kindness while giving back to the community. Plus, it benefits the environment too!
