When couches get damaged, it is usually when you are moving the couch through a doorway. When you do go through a doorway with the couch, make sure to place the couch on its back, with the backend facing the ground, and move it this way. You and your partner will be able to maneuver it a lot easier this way. You may be able to get away with keeping the legs on the couch. It is important to note that you should never force a couch through the doorway. If it does get stuck, try taking off the legs or moving the backend downwards with your partner through the door frame.
